Hilary Hughes, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist committed to providing evidence-based therapy and assessment services for children, adolescents, and families.

Dr. Hughes obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. She completed her predoctoral internship at Tulsa Center for Child Psychology through the APA –accredited Northeastern Oklahoma Psychology Internship Program. Dr. Hughes completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Tulsa Center for Child Psychology, where she received supervision and specialized training in empirically supported treatments for children and adolescents, family therapy, developmental evaluations, neuropsychological evaluations, and psychoeducational evaluations.

Dr. Hughes has provided clinical services across diverse settings including private practice, adolescent psychiatric inpatient units, community mental health, and college counseling centers. Through her training, she has enjoyed collaborating with mental health professionals, teachers, and other treatment providers to coordinate client care. Dr. Hughes uses clinical research to guide treatment, and she works to create a warm and safe environment to facilitate treatment.

Dr. Hughes provides individual and family therapeutic services that address anxiety, trauma, depression, deficits in social functioning, behaviors related to developmental delays, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, tics, and disruptive behaviors. The evidence-based treatment approaches utilized in therapy include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), applied behavioral analysis (ABA), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP).

Regarding assessment services, Dr. Hughes specializes in conducting comprehensive developmental, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational assessments. These assessments evaluate cognitive, adaptive, academic, social, and psychological functioning. Dr. Hughes is trained to evaluate diverse presenting concerns including but not limited to: autism, ADHD, specific learning disorders, developmental delays, and comorbid mood and anxiety disorders.
